ohh my.. how I hurt....

But it is a good hurt. You know that all over ache when you know you worked yourself damn hard.
Where you are ok, kinda.... if you are sitting still. But... whenever you have to stand up or walk up stairs you moan, whine and make noises.

Poor Mon Amour has heard me swear every time I have to move basically.. We just did all our food shopping for the week and at any moment if I saw something I shouldn't eat and think "hmm that might be nice" all I had to do was move my shoulder by about 2cm and the pain reminded me it was SOOOO not worth it.

anyway enough of my sulking. I had a very good week exercise wise. I am proud of myself.

I kept to my plan, worked out all 6 days. Cardio/Fitness Days on Mon and Wed. Strength on Tues and Thurs. Stretch on Fri (although I did do some Cardio as well) and of course the Super Saturday Session of Fitness on Sat (Jog - Burn it off Bootcamp with the Inner West 12wbt group - Walk)

My SSS Calorie Burn ;)

12wbt Inner Westies after Bootcamp

The official program starts tomorrow and I am pumped. I weighed myself this morning and I am so happy to say that even though I plateaued for a bit I have lost 4.7kgs in pre season ;) YAY

I am well on my way to reaching my goal for this round. Now I just need to be as disciplined, as determined and fight through the ache.

PS. I am also taking part in the Fitness Friday blog hop for 12WBTers! that is being organised by the amazing Kate Says Stuff (yes i am running a bit late this week...oops)

Opps... dropped off there for a bit...

Hey Everyone :)

Sorry about the serious lack of posts. I am so bad... I got really busy with work and training I just kept forgetting to post.

But I am back and shall be posting more regularly I promise.... I swear..

On a better note. Things are still churning along. I have built myself up to working out 6 days a week. They look a bit like this:

Mon - Fitness: Cycle 15/20 mins and Run/Walk intervals 30/40mins at Gym
Tues - Toning: Warm up and Mixed Weights
Wed - Fitness: Cross Trainer 15mins and Ease into 5k Running Program
Thurs - Toning: Pump Class
Fri - Stretch: Yogalaties
Sat - Fitness SSS: Parkrun (5k walk/run) and Burn it up Bootcamp 1 hr
Sun - Rest Day.

To do all of this I get up at about 6am. Now anyone who knows me would be quite surprised as I am so so not a morning person and honestly it kills me every morning.

But it is worth it. It is so good to know it is all done and over with in the morning. It is too easy for me to talk myself out of it in the afternoon.

This is what I like to see after a normal fitness day (double it for SSS)

Getting pumped for the Official Round start on the 13th of Feb 2012.

New Year.. New Goals...

Happy 2012 Lovely Peoples

I would like to start this post by saying... I am not one for "New Years Resolutions"

To me new years resolutions are passing things, people make on the spur of the moment (even with the best of intentions) and never keep, myself included. I decided on this step in my life about a month ago after another being informed I was being made redundant.

This is journey to a happier me, a life change and a pledge to myself that I WILL do this. There is no doubt there. I can be such a stubborn bitch at times and it is about time I turned that to my advantage.

After a lovely night with Mon Amour and my two bestest friends. I have decided that it is about time I set myself some smart goals for this round.

For those of you who don't know a SMART goal is a goal that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Based. I have used this format many times before when i worked in retail for coaching my staff.

My Main SMART goal for this round is:

I will lose 15 kgs this round. So that is 15 kgs in about 15 weeks. (the round is 12 weeks and 2 to 3 weeks pre-season). This works out to about 1kg a week.

Specific: Lose Weight
Measurable: 15 kilograms (roughly 1kg a week)
Achievable: Yes
Realistic: Yes
Time Based: by the end of the round or 15 weeks.

I can do this. I have done it before. If I lose more awesome but this is what I would like my pushed minimum to be.
What I mean by that is I would be happy with 10 but I am pushing myself to have a minimum of 15 because I can do it and I am not going to settle for easy.

My Challenge to you is......

What is your smart goal to better your life this new year??

The first step of many...

Hello,

I am sure no one is reading this first post but here we go.

It is almost the last day of 2011.
Halle-freaking-lujah

To anyone who knows me 2011 was far from an easy year.
I have had friends say "You have had the worst year ever" I prefer to describe it as an OK year with some amazingly spectacular shit moments.

the two lowlights
  • My Gorgeous and much loved daddy passing away from very fast acting liver cancer on the 21st Feb.
  • Finding out after 5.5 years my job is being made redundant in 6 months.
After all this needless to say surviving has been a main priority not weight loss. In the last few months I have put on about 10kgs. Which isn't a huge amount but when you take into account I am already about 30kg heavier than I should be, it is more than I can take now.

So I have decided that 2012 is going to be my year.

The Kick Start.
I signed up for the first round of Michelle Bridges 12week Body Transformation
I am excited, scared and ready to roll.
This blog will be my way of venting, sharing my journey.
Not only for my weight loss but all the life along with it.

I am not quite ready to share a before photo with you yet, but i am definitely taking one.

Wish me luck xx
