I am not sure about you but I am one of those people that have little sayings and posters around the place. I was making one today at work and though I would share.
This is so relevant for me at work, so I am going to stick it with my others .
Do you use tools like this too?

Sick Sick Sick... not the best start
So this week, I had grand plans starting out. It was going to be a busy week. First week back at work, hand over from my friend and workmate who was leaving. I was going to exercise every morning for at least an hour and i was going to post every day. My house was going to be nice and super clean and I was going to organise a lovely day for Mon Amour's birthday on Thursday...
Alas mostly all of these lovely plans were derailed by the cold from hell...
There are some unwell you can push through, you can workout through and just get on with it.
But then there are ones like this where if you are walking around for longer than 10-15mins you can't breathe, can't move and feel like you have pulled every muscle in your stomach, back and neck from coughing all the time (and your house sounds like a seal has taken up residence).. you may also be easily be mistaken for a certain red nosed reindeer. I also had to stop beating myself up because I was too unwell to workout everyday.
I did however manage to workout twice. I still ate well. I got to work most days. My house is pretty clean and while I was completely snotty and gross and unable to go out I did make a lovely cake (Sophie Dahl's orange and raspberry victoria sponge) for Mon Amour. Here is the link to the recipe if any of you want it, it is very yum, very easy to make, quite naughty but will definitely impress. (and I managed to only eat one tiny tiny slither)
How do you deal with being sick??

New Year.. New Goals...
Happy 2012 Lovely Peoples
I would like to start this post by saying... I am not one for "New Years Resolutions"
To me new years resolutions are passing things, people make on the spur of the moment (even with the best of intentions) and never keep, myself included. I decided on this step in my life about a month ago after another being informed I was being made redundant.
This is journey to a happier me, a life change and a pledge to myself that I WILL do this. There is no doubt there. I can be such a stubborn bitch at times and it is about time I turned that to my advantage.
After a lovely night with Mon Amour and my two bestest friends. I have decided that it is about time I set myself some smart goals for this round.
For those of you who don't know a SMART goal is a goal that is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Based. I have used this format many times before when i worked in retail for coaching my staff.
My Main SMART goal for this round is:
I will lose 15 kgs this round. So that is 15 kgs in about 15 weeks. (the round is 12 weeks and 2 to 3 weeks pre-season). This works out to about 1kg a week.
Specific: Lose Weight
Measurable: 15 kilograms (roughly 1kg a week)
Achievable: Yes
Realistic: Yes
Time Based: by the end of the round or 15 weeks.
I can do this. I have done it before. If I lose more awesome but this is what I would like my pushed minimum to be.
What I mean by that is I would be happy with 10 but I am pushing myself to have a minimum of 15 because I can do it and I am not going to settle for easy.
My Challenge to you is......
What is your smart goal to better your life this new year??
